The Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien offers a variety of courses, ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and video, performance and conceptual art, as well as architecture, scenography and restoration.
As a university, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna attaches great importance to a research-driven teaching programme. The academy aims to redefine artistic production processes in a changed, globalised society.

The photography department is situated in the Studio Building at Lehárgasse 6-8 in Vienna.
