The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize (formerly known as the International Photography Prize) is an annual award of £30,000, rewarded to a living photographer of any nationality who has made the most significant contribution, in exhibition or publication format, to the medium of photography in Europe over the previous year.
An exhibition and a catalogue with the work of the nominees are realized by
The Photographers Gallery, who originally set up the award in 1996. Since 2005 the financial institution Deutsche Börse has sponsored the award, hence the name.
