The website www.fotografen.nl was launched in december 2009. It is initiated by the RKD and Nederlands Fotomuseum Rotterdam.
The site is an online photographers encyclopedia, containing all relevant and basic information (life, work and copyrights, as well as links to other websites).
At the moment, appr. 40.000 photographers, coming from the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistoriscche Documentatie (RKD / Governmental desk for arthistorical documentation) and the Nederlands Fotomuseum Rotterdam, are included.

The website is constantly updated by professionals and visitors, by the system known from Wikipedia: any photographer can be mentioned and anyone can add information.

For now, the site is in Dutch only.
