E.CO 2010 is a meeting of European and South-American photography collectives. It offers, a space for reflection in which collectives can discuss their methods to increase their projects’ visibility. E.CO 2010 aims to generate new strategies that enable photographer’s projects.

Based in Spain, E.CO 2010 will gather twenty photography collectives, from different countries in Europe and Latin America, that will discuss the problems and needs of the photographic medium with editors, researchers and other photo professionals. At the meeting there will also be an exhibition about environment, curated by Claudi Carreras, with the photographs that each group has been working on.

By means of this initiative, the Spanish Ministry of Culture tries to stimulate a better understanding of the collectives’ task in the field of contemporary imagery.
