FotoDocument is an international public platform for documentary photography. It focuses primarily on positive responses to key global social, cultural and environmental issues. FotoDocument was founded in Brighton, UK, by photographers Nina Emett and Howard Davies, to bring visibility to inspiring global initiatives as a force for potential change.
FotoDocument will commission documentary photographers worldwide to produce photo essays on a social theme designed to educate and inspire the viewer. Commissions go to photographers worldwide. Results will be exhibited both online, and in the UK and other venues. To apply you can request an application form through the 'contact us' page on their website.
Brighton also hosts the
Brighton Photo Biennial, which is curated by a different photographer or leading figure each time.
