Handicap International is an international solidarity organisation (NGO) based in Belgium, that specializes in the field of disability. Non-religious, non-political and non-profit making, it works alongside people with disabilities, whatever the context, offering them assistance and supporting them in their efforts to become self-reliant.

The organisation regularly commissions (Belgian) photographers to document their projects or a problem. You can contact the organization with your suggestions for a project. Belgium-based photographers collective Photolimits and photographer Layla Aerts have done assignments for them in the past.
