Martino Marangoni studied photography at the Pratt Institute in New York. In 1989 he created the
Foundation Studio Marangoni, of which he is currently the president. Since then, he has carried out his own personal research as an artist while promoting photography in Italy and abroad through a series of teaching programs and exhibitions.
At FSM Marangoni gives lectures and sets assignments in the Three Year Program curriculum, providing critiques of student work and tutors for independent study. He is curator of exhibitions at FSMgallery. In 2008 this gallery hosted the exhibition Dutch Dare, that was originally curated for the
Dutch Fotomuseum / Nederlands Fotomuseum Rotterdam by
Frits Gierstberg.
