The National Media Museum is freely accessible. It has its own collection of photography which serves as a base for several exhibitions a year. The museum also programmes travelling exhibitions form external curators. Documentary photography is a solid part of all this.

Part of the museum’s collection concerns film and television history. The building also serves as restaurant and an IMAX movie theatre.
