Director of proFOTOGRAFIA is Monika Piotrowska

ProFOTOGRAFIA is created to promote independent and documentary projects, mainly by Polish photographers, proFOTOGRAFIA is active on the internet, curates exhibitions for museums and galleries, and realizes publications.

Institute proFOTOGRAFIA closely cooperates with the School of Humanities and Journalism, with whom they run Gallery 2piR. They also organize Photodocument festival, that took place for the first time in 2008. Like Fonds BKVB in The Netherlands, proFOTOGRAFIA sees it as its task to promote Polish documentary photography in Poland and abroad.
