PhotoLit is a freely accessible database which lists books on photography since 1839. PhotoLit’s base consists of the ca. 8000 titles of the private collection of Rolf H. Krauss in Stuttgart. Individual suggestions, contents of other private libraries, and information supplied by specialized bookshops, from bibliographies and from the net have been added since. Since it's a German initiative, most titles are in German or English.

Should you wish to add a title, you have two choices: start with your own PhotoLit CD (instructions on the website), or enter a title on the site. The latter will then be transferred to PhotoLit.
