The Museum of Arts and Crafts was founded in 1880 by the Arts and Crafts School, which is known today as the
School of Applied Arts and Design. The museum occasionally programs photography exhibits. They have a rather extensive collection of historical Croatian photography. These photos show the medium’s use and history in Croatia. The collection is predominated by art photography, portraits and some work from the Zagreb School of Photography.
The museum hosts the Rovinj Photodays, a festival dedicated to contemporary Croatian photography.
