Actes Sud is a large publishing company that covers lots of genres including literature, science, nature, cooking and arts. The arts section is divided into several categories as well, which includes documentary projects by photograpgers like Eugene Atget, Ventura Paolo, Ad van Denderen and others.

Actes Sud is one of the six members of the European Publishers Award for Photography jury.
