The
International Center for Photography is a large institute in the heart of Manhattan. Within the main building are the exhibition-spaces, archive, library and store. Across the road is the ICP school, which caters to a large and broad audience with numerous courses, workshops and events.
Exhibitions change every few months, with always 2-5 different topics on show, both historical and contemporary. A good part of the exhibitions consist of documentary photography, mostly by individual photographers and sometimes by topic.
The archives, library and collections are extensive and are open for researchers.
The
ICP school offers short and long courses all year long, aimed mainly at beginners and semi-professionals. The yearlong certificate program starts in early september.
