Rolf Nobel (1950, Hamburg) works as a photojournalist for a number of influential German magazines. He published several photography books.

Since 2000 he teaches photojournalism and documentary photography. At first at the Hamburg School for the Arts, currently at FH (Fachhochschule) in Hannover.

Together with German photojournalist union FreeLens Nobel and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover, Nobel organises the Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism / Lumix Festival für jungen Fotojournalismus.
