The Visa d’Or is among the most prestigious prizes for photojournalism and documentary photography. There are three categories: Daily Press, News and Feature.

The Visa d'or Daily Press is awarded to the best report published in the daily press, during the previous year. The prize is open to all daily newspapers around the world. Reports selected by the jury are exhibited at the Festival. A second jury meets in Perpignan to choose the final winner.

For the Visa d’or News and Feature categories, no proposals can be sent in: a jury of professional picture editors will nominate four contestants for each category.

All three prizes are €8,000. They’re presented during one of the evening shows at the Visa Pour l’Image Perpignan festival in September.
