Young Photographers United (YPU) was created in 2001 to support and promote young photographers worldwide, who are aiming for professionalisation.

YPU provides essential expertise, management skills and a broad network to support young photographers during the difficult period after graduating. By means of various projects YPU helps them to break through internationally.

YPU also promotes creative, effective partnerships with commercial businesses, organisations, magazines and individuals. Each year the organisation selects 50 new talents from over 2,000 applicants around the world. Photographers work with the foundation for three years; YPU therefore has a constant and regularly updated pool of 150 talents.
