The Triennial started out in the 1920’s as a panorama of decorative and industrial arts. Now, the Trienniale also covers fashion and audio-visual communication. Today's activities are directed towards research and exhibitions about architecture, town planning, industrial design, fashion and audio-visual communication. Great photo exhibitions are also part of the program.
Throughout the year, the Triennale organises an ongoing program in and with Milan cultural venues.
The Triennale di Milano co-organises the
Riccardo Pezza Photography Prize, a prize for recently graduated photographers from Italy and the rest of Europe.
