Ben Krewinkel - Biografie

Documentair fotograaf Ben Krewinkel (Maastricht, 1975) studeerde (modern-Afrikaanse) geschiedenis in Amsterdam en Pretoria, Photographic Studies in Leiden en fotografie aan de Fotoacademie in Amsterdam.Hij doceert fotografie aan de School voor Journalistiek in Utrecht en de Koninklijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Den Haag. Daarnaast werkt hij als onderzoeker, freelance curator en boekrecensent.Momenteel werkt hij aan projecten over vreemdelingendetentie en de erfenis van de onafhankelijkheidsstrijd in Mozambique.

Documentary photographer Ben Krewinkel (Maastricht, 1975) studied (modern African) History in Amsterdam and Pretoria, Photographic Studies in Leiden and photography at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam.He teaches photography at the School of Journalism in Utrecht and at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In addition he works as a photographic researcher, freelance curator and writes on photography, mainly photobooks.Currently Krewinkel is working on projects concerning imprisoned migrants and the legacy of the Struggle for Independence for present-day Mozambique.
