Peter Dekens - Biografie

Peter Dekens (België, 1967) studeerde af als documentair fotograaf aan AKV | St Joost Breda, van 2008 - 2012. Hij heeft een uitgesproken belangstelling voor maatschappelijk gevoelige onderwerpen en vraagstukken die niet veel media-aandacht krijgen. Voor hem is fotografie het ideale medium om de 'sociaal onzichtbare' zichtbaar te maken.

Peter Dekens (Belgium, 1967) graduated at AKV | St. Joost Art Academy in Breda as a documentary photographer, from 2008 - 2012. He has a keen interest in socially sensitive subjects and issues that do not generate extensive media coverage. He has always been intrigued by the 'invisible' people of our society and uses photography to explore this fascination. Photography is his ideal medium for making the ‘socially invisible’ visible.
