Raoul Kramer - Biografie

Commenting on conflict, Kramer investigates the role of honesty and objectivity through an inquiry into the nature of image-making. He explores whether photographic materials can make a precise visual copy of contemporary reality. Aware of their limitations in showing the context of reality, he experiments with other media such as text, GPS and video, to increase the representation of this context. The visual language is simplified by reducing subjective expression in order not to distract the viewer from the content.
